This week, the South Florida Business Journal (SFBJ), one of the
publications in the nationwide biz journal network, published an
article about legal service plans that prominently features Pre-Paid
Legal Services, Inc., our legal service plans and Glantz & Glantz,
our provider law firm in South Florida.  This piece offers strong
third-party credibility (and endorsement) for the company and can
be utilized as a merchandising tool by associates.

This report, based on information from Regional Vice Presidents, is
intended to provide recognition, motivation and useful information to
all Associates.  If you have something valuable to share, please
communicate with your Regional Vice President for consideration for
this report.

All associates currently at Executive Director Level that
qualify again by March 20 will be winners;  all other associates,
including those that have been Executive Director qualified in
the past, that Executive Director by March 31 will be winners!

Both sets of EDs will receive a special commemorative “Award of
Excellence” lapel pin upon arrival to the convention, to wear
during the convention demonstrating their ability to step up to
the plate.  But that is not all, they will walk the stage and
receive a $250 cash bonus.

1. If your’re arrested or detained…
Most law enforcement officers are conscienttios and will protect your rights rather than abuse them. If you are stopped or detained by a law enforcement or police officer or questioned by authorities regarding a minor child in your custody, we sutggest taking the following precautions:

• Cooperate with the oficer and ask for permission to get your Legal Shield Card.
• If arrested or detained, call the 24-hour, toll-free number on your Legal Shield Card.

2. If you’re seriously injured…
Of course, the first step is to make sure you and others involved are OK. Your next two calls should be to you insurance company and your lawyer. If you’re incapable of making hte call because of your injuries, be sure your family knows to call your provider alw firm. And, remember, never agree to any offers or settlements from an insurance company without recieving legal counsel first!

3. If the state tries to take your child(ren)…
If you are confronted by authorities and they remoce your child(ren) from your custody, call the Legal Shield hotline immediately! You can call 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.

Remember…
The Legal Shield membership will not appl in situations involving:

• Any matter in which the member is alleged to be under the influence of or impaired by alcohol, intoxicants, controlled substances, chemicals or medicines.
• Alleged domesticviolence or alleged stalking.
• Assistance in making, posting, or obtaining bond, bail, or other securities required for release.

The benefits of the Legal Shield membership are subjust to conditions imposed by the detaining or questioning authority, which may not allow for your Provider Law Firm to communicate with you on an immediate basis.
